LMU Lap Time Guide

LMU Lap Times Explained

A fast qualifying benchmark, a realistic race target, and a lap you can repeat for a full stint are different numbers. Use each one for the decision it can actually support.

Setup-Shop Qualifying Benchmarks

The BoP Tourism tables rank the fastest published laps from GoSetups, BeAlien, and Hymo. These laps use optimized setups and experienced drivers. They are useful for comparing car potential and setup-shop pace, but they are not typical race laps.

What Is a Good LMU Lap Time?

Your achievable pace depends primarily on driver skill and setup type. Open setups can be optimized for a circuit, while fixed setups remove that variable. Consistency still matters: it determines whether you can sustain your pace through traffic, tyre wear, and a race stint.

Use the race pace targets for practical open and fixed setup tiers. Use the qualifying benchmarks when you want to compare the cars themselves.

Why Older Laps Can Still Be Valid

A newer LMU patch does not always change the BoP for every car and track. When an older setup-shop lap is still valid and faster than a newer published lap, the site keeps that faster benchmark and labels it clearly. Laps affected by later BoP changes receive a warning.
